1.China Service: China International Fair for Trade in Services
China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is inaugurated in the year of 2012. It is approved by the State Council, And co-hosted by Ministry of Commerce of the PRC and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, with the World Trade Organization, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development as its permanent supporters. Since 2019, China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services has been renamed China International Fair for Trade in Services (shortened remained as CIFTIS), and is held in Beijing annually. As China’s economic development ushers in a new phase, CIFTIS also gained its momentum.
CIFTIS has been successfully held for 7 sessions and it is the leading largest comprehensive fair for trade in services in China and across the world. It is one of the three major exhibitions, together with China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) and China International Import Expo (CIIE), that constitute a comprehensive system to enhance China’s cooperation with and openness towards the rest of the world. The three fairs are a platform to showcase “China Service”, “China Manufacturing”, potential for import, and advantages for export. The Chinese government attached great importance to CIFTIS, which is participated by state leaders every year.
China International Fair for Trade in Services 2022 will be held in Beijing National Convention Center and Shougang Park from August 31st to September 5th , 2022.
2.Potential for Import & Advantages for Export: China International Import Expo (CIIE)
China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a trade fair held in autumn annually since 2018 in Shanghai, China. It is the world's first import-themed national-level expo. It will feature exhibitions of multiple countries and businesses and the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum.
The expo is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government. Its partners include World Trade Organization, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
The import expo has the purpose of promoting the Chinese domestic market to foreign companies, and to boost domestic consumption.
The 5th session of China International Import Expo will be held from November 5th to 10th , 2022.
3.China Manufacturing: China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair)
China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, was established in the spring of 1957. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of PRC and the People's Government of Guangdong Province and organized by China Foreign Trade Centre, it is held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou, China. As a comprehensive international trading event with the longest history, the largest scale, the most complete exhibit variety, the largest buyer attendance, the broadest distribution of buyers' source country and the greatest business turnover in China, Canton Fair is hailed as China’s No.1 Fair and the barometer of China’s foreign trade.
As the window, epitome and symbol of China's opening up and an important platform for international trade cooperation, Canton Fair has withstood various challenges and never been interrupted in the past 65 years. It has been successfully held for 130 sessions and established trade relations with more than 220 countries and regions around the world. The accumulated export volume has amounted to about USD 1.5 trillion and the total number of overseas buyers has reached 9 million. The Fair has effectively promoted trade connections and friendly exchanges between China and the world.
The 131st session of China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) was held online from April 15th to 24th, 2022.
